Joseph Lawrence Amos, Jr. was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia.  After graduating from Charleston Catholic High School in 2004, he was awarded a Promise Scholarship and attended West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.  In May 2008, Mr. Amos graduated Cum Laude from the West Virginia College of Business and Economics with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  Following his undergraduate education in August 2009, Mr. Amos received his Master of Science in Industrial Relations from West Virginia University College of Business and Economics.

Mr. Amos was accepted to the West Virginia University College of Law and began his legal education in August 2009.  During his tenure at WVU’s College of Law, Mr. Amos was a law clerk for Chief Justice Robin Davis of the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals and interned at the National Labor Relations Board in Washington D.C.

After graduation, Mr. Amos returned to his hometown of Charleston, West Virginia and began working for Miller & Amos, focusing on labor and employment law, general business defense, and civil litigation.
